Co-founded the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter, which today is the largest student-run organization within the Bellisario College.


Resau has more than 20 years of experience as a strategic communicator focused on technology issues including cybersecurity, digital privacy, enterprise software and building start-ups’ brands, in a career advising companies from Silicon Valley to Washington, D.C. He is a senior vice president at W2 Communications, a full-service integrated marketing firm handling creative design, digital marketing, content development, media relations and events for technology clients. Resau’s practice teams lead communications programs helping clients secure thought-leadership recognition, build brands, raise capital and stand apart in the most competitive markets. Resau previously led public relations activities for the technology, privacy, intellectual property and regulatory practices at global law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Before joining Pillsbury, he served on the corporate communications team at Symantec, where he was responsible for the company’s public relations programs reaching the U.S. government, energy, financial services, healthcare and other vertical sectors. Resau began his communications career as an intern in the Washington and district offices of Congressman Bud Shuster (R-PA), while completing his Ad/PR studies. After graduation, he started representing high-tech clients at Merritt Group, working in the firm’s cybersecurity and government teams.
