Partner, Mutchler Lyons
Mutchler is a trial attorney and award-winning journalist. Prior to her seven-year term as founding executive director of Pennsylvania’s Office of Open Records, Mutchler worked in media law and appellate practice groups of a Chicago law firm. Focused on privacy issues, she clerked for the Supreme Court of Illinois and Executive Office of the President of the United States during the Clinton Administration. Mutchler was previously an investigative reporter for The Associated Press and the first woman-appointed AP bureau chief and statehouse correspondent in Springfield, Illinois, also serving as AP bureau chief in New Jersey and Alaska offices. A public speaker and published author, Mutchler earned her B.A. from Penn State and J.D. from the John Marshall School of Law.
