At Penn State
As an undergraduate, Amanda attained a degree in film-video. While pursuing her degree, she completed internships with WQED and Steeltown Entertainment Project, in Pittsburgh, and with Martin Chase Productions and Fixed Point Films in Los Angeles. In addition to internships, Amanda also worked on several shorts for WQED and Pittsburgh Filmmakers. Amanda was heavily involved in both THON and Penn State Homecoming. She was on several THON committees in addition to being an Entertainment Captain in 2015. As a freshman, Amanda walked in the Homecoming Parade which kick-started her involvement in the organization, leading her to become the Production Director during the 2014-2015 Homecoming.
Amanda currently works as a video producer creating content for online master degree programs. Previously, Amanda worked as a video producer/editor for a non-profit think tank in Washington, D.C., and in the marketing department for PBS. She also has a wide range of video experience, including crewing at the Tribeca Film Festival and producing several short documentaries in Washington, D.C.
