Worked at Town & Gown/Where & When magazines and Barash Advertising; also worked in promotions at WDFM. During his summer break, he interned in the marketing department of Unilever in New York City.
Balasco joined Hearst Corp. in September 2011 at REDBOOK Magazine. Later, his role was expanded to executive director to include Good Housekeeping and O, the Oprah Magazine. Responsible for managing multiple revenue streams across healthcare/wellness advertising, reaching an audience of over 40 million readers. With more than 30 years of experience in integrated media sales, Balasco has held senior sales/management roles at The New York Times Co., Rodale, Meredith Corp., Time Inc. and now Hearst Corp. In addition to his Penn State education, Balasco has participated in the Stamford Publishing Program, and course work in media at New York University.
