Singer, rapper and writer Dessa, who has performed at Lollapalooz and Glastonbury, published a memoir and delivered keynotes at colleges and universities across the nation, will be featured in this free public event that is co-sponsored by the Josephine Berry Weiss Chair of the Humanities, the Center for Democratic Deliberation, the College of Liberal Arts, the Humanities Institute, the McCourtney Institute for Democracy, and the departments of English, media studies, philosophy, and women’s, gender and sexuality studies.

Join us for a three-part photojournalism series in the News Lab. This series is focused on the basics – you and your camera. It’s a perfect way to get your hands on equipment before you might in a class or, if you’re not a photo journalism major, it’s a great way to acquire new skills and get comfortable with a camera.
