Saturday Morning ... Live! Affable, entertaining and acclaimed director Don Roy King will share his star-crossed journey from Penn State to CBS to ABC to SNL, punctuating the story of his decades-long journey with anecdotes about his work with Mike Douglas, the Survivor TV series, Barbara Walters, two network morning programs and the cast, crew and countless guest hosts of Saturday Night Live. A Q&A session, sure to be fun and insightful, will follow. The session is free and open to the public.

A free public lecture focusing on the road ahead for Colombia after the Nov. 29, 2016, peace accord between Columbia's Congress and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), an armed insurgency the government has been fighting since 1964. Lecture by Jose Antequera Guzman, an award-winning activist, author and lawyer. His owrk on human rights and historical memory in Colombia has been highly acclaimed.

Founder Derek Jeter’s goal for The Players’ Tribune was “to ultimately transform how athletes and newsmakers share information, bringing fans closer than ever to the games they love.” Launched in October 2014, the online news site quickly attracted a sizable audience, a growing roster of contributing athlete, and significant venture capital. The Players’ Tribune is one of the more prominent examples of media startups disrupting both the traditional media business model and the notion of professional journalism itself. This panel discussion will focus on the process of bringing The Players’ Tribune from idea, to pitch, to reality. Panelists are Dan Treadway, deputy editor, The Players’ Tribune, and Anne Hoag, associate professor of communications and director of the minor in entrepreneurship and innovation.
