Bumgi Min is currently a doctoral candidate in the Bellisario College. He earned his master’s degree in media studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 2015. His specialties are intercultural communication (especially cross-national comparison), global communication, political communication, and news consumption through digital media.
He has published papers in the peer-reviewed journals Political Communication, Policy & Internet, Atlantic Journal of Communication, and Digital Policy, Regulation and Governance. Currently, he is completing a dissertation titled “When Fake News Endangers Refugees: A Cross-national Study of the Effects of Fake News about Refugees on U.S. and South Korean Audiences” with the support of a grant from the Don Davis Program in Ethical Leadership.
