Biography
Eunchae Jang is a third-year Ph.D. candidate at the College of Communications at Pennsylvania State University. She earned her master’s degree in media communication from Yonsei University, South Korea.
Her research interests focus on the psychological effects of human interactions with communication technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and social media. Her work aims to address issues related to ethics and trust surrounding these technologies and to suggest ways to mitigate such challenges. She employs a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, including computational approaches.
Her current research pertains to understanding the persuasive effects of technological affordances, users' cognitive information processing, and susceptibility to misinformation.
