Part of the University's Family Weekend at University Park, the Bellisario College-specific session includes a presentation (10 a.m.) and tours of the Bellisario Media Center (11 a.m.)

The annual Pockrass Memorial Lecture will focus on how co-viewing and discussion can be used by parents to reinforce and support shared family identities, and help children express their emerging ideas on those topics and more. Marie-Louise Mares, a professor at the University of Wisconsin, will present the free public lecture.

A panel discussion about covering major news events with Rebecca Droke of AFP New Agency, Sebastian Foltz of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Scott Goldsmith of Politico, who all covered the attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this year. The event is free and open to the public.

University-wide Open House for prospective students, with tours of the Bellisario Media Center from 1-2 p.m.

A day of service at the Student Farm. Meet in front of Eisenhower Auditorium on Shortlidge Road. Transportation will be provided to and from the Student Farm. Assist with harvesting produce, cultivating fields and planting crops! Service work will be from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch, presentations and discussion until 1:30 p.m. Sponsored by Penn State Global.

Keynote lecture as part of "Challenges to Digital Media Flourishing" Symposium, presented by the David Program in Ethical Leadership. Speaker NIck Couldry is a professor of media, communications and social theory in the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics whose work also has spanned media ethics and journalism studies. The symposium is sponsored by the Bellisario College, the Arthur W. Page Center for Public Integrity, and the Rock Ethics Institute.
