Centre Documenters is looking for new documenters, fact-checkers and editors. Join the first rural documenters program in the country and a national network of documenters. We train and pay students to attend and document public meetings across Centre County. Sign up for this two-part training is open to anyone interested in becoming a Centre Documenter. These trainings will also qualify you for paid jobs with Centre Documenters — the best training ground for journalists and engaged citizens!

Information session for students about COMM 437A Advanced Documentary Production Abroad for Spring 2025, which will include a trip to Mexico City in collaboration with DOC [MX], Mexico's International Documentary Film Festival. Students who take the class will have the chance to develop stories with local residents before arriving in Mexico and then immerse themselves in the culture from behind the camera.

"Race and Democracy: America is Always Changing, but America Never Changes"

The Schreyer Honors College is set to host speaker Eddie Glaude Jr.as part part of Schreyer’s Dilemmas of Democracy series, which examines the obstacles facing modern democracy and will include a question-and-answer session moderated by Jenna Spinelle from the McCourtney Institute for Democracy, which is co-sponsoring the lecture. The lecture is free and open to the public. Tickets can be claimed online through the State Theatre website. Glaude will hold a book signing following the lecture.
