Join AdClub for its ninth annual "Life After Carnegie" panel event highlighting the sucesses of Penn State College of Communications graduates who will speak about their journeys in various career paths in the communications industry. Panelists will give students tips on how to make the most of their education while at Penn State. The event will be panel style and will allow for open discussion. Students are encouraged to come with questions! As always, free food and beverages!

Children's Co-Constructions of Citizenship" -- by Yael Warshel, a University-wide Rock Ethics Institute co-funded faculty and assistant professor of journalism and telecommunications, as part of a symposium titled PSU Research in Africa: Building Synergy within the Community. The overall conference features President Eric Barron as the guest of honor and will showcase campus-wide research in Africa.

"Love is Not for Sale"

Jennifer Kempton will share her experience as a survivor of sex trafficking in Columbus,Ohio, and how she founded Survivor’s Ink, an organization that helps survivors overcome the painful reminders of their past by offering cover-up tattoos or “debranding,” removal of brandings or scars received while being trafficked. Film-video faculty member Pearl Gluck will show a sneak peek of her work-in-progress film "The Turn Out," also set in Ohio and created in collaboration with survivors. Kempton is working with Gluck on her next film. The program is sponsored by the College of Communications, the Department of Telecommunications, the College of Nursing, University Libraries, and the College of Information Sciences and Technology.
