Scheduling an Appointment

  1. Visit the Nittany Lion Careers WEBSITE and login
  2. On the home screen of your Nittany Lion Careers account, click on “Counseling & Calendar” and then “Counseling Appt”
  3. Click on the “Request New Appointment” button.
  4. Fill out the appropriate filters to search for an appointment that works with your schedule. In the “Type” section, your option will be “Virtual.” We do not offer in-person appointments at this point.
  5. Julie Miller and Bob Martin from the Bellisario College of Communications Internship & Career Placement Office will have “(Communications)” next to their names. If you hover over each person’s name, you can find out more information about the staff member and what topics and she/he is available to discuss with you. Please also use the guidelines provided when determining the time needed for each topic. Meeting lengths for Julie are 30 or 60 minutes and for Bob 30-60-90. 15-minute appointments are not available. Once you select the appropriate filters, click on the “Check Availability” button.
  6. A list of possible dates and times will appear on the right. Select the date and time that works best with your schedule.
  7. You can either refine your results to see different options or select an appointment from the list on the right that works for you. Next, confirm your appointment.
  8. Make sure to select the appropriate appointment type so our staff knows what you hope to discuss. Then, submit your request.
  9. Your appointment request will show up as a “Requested Appointment” initially. Once we confirm your appointment the appointment will move to “Approved Appointments.”
  10. You will receive email confirmations that your request has been received and then approved/rejected, along with a reminder about your appointment the day before. Included in the email will be the link to your meeting zoom room.
  11. If you need to reschedule, you can do so up to 24 hours before your appointment through your Nittany Lion Careers account. If an emergency comes up within 24 hours, call or email Stephanie Girouard (814-865-4349, sfg10@psu.edu).
