Page Center and Sustainability Team Up

The Arthur W. Page Center is partnering with the journal Sustainability in an upcoming special issue titled “Corporate social responsibility, corporate social advocacy, and societal change.” Scholars are encouraged to submit manuscripts for research that will help build an understanding of the benefits and challenges of corporate support of social and environmental issues.

The call will be moderated by guest editors Hyejoon Rim, Page Center scholar from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and Holly Overton, research director at the Page Center and associate professor at Penn State. The editors are accepting manuscripts on CSA and CSR topics including, but not limited to:

• Social justice, social movement and the role of business
• Global health crisis and business responsibly
• Best practices in CSR and CSA communication
• Corporate social value and business sustainability
• Corporate reputation management
• The role of public relations in CSR practice and communication
• Stakeholder engagement

The deadline for manuscripts is January 31, 2022.

The special issue will “enrich the body of knowledge on CSR and CSA communication… and publish theoretical and empirical research that contributes to our understanding of the challenges, impacts, and benefits of communicating a corporate commitment to social and environmental issues, as well as social justice issues in a socially and politically charged environment.”
