Story by MediaBistro on a Page Center Research Paper

November 12, 2014

MediaBistro’s “PR Newser” does a story on some Page Center-funded research which appears in the current issue of Public Relations Journal. It’s about the work done by Melissa Dodd of the University of Central Florida and Dustin Supa of Boston University on how company stances on hot button issues such as gay marriage, health care reform and emergency contraception impact the corporate bottom line. Here’s the story: http://www.mediabistro.com/prnewser/study-brands-play-politics-at-their-own-risk_b102865.

All five studies described in the new issue of Public Relations Journal were supported by grants from the Page Center. The special issue, on corporate social responsibility, was edited by Denise Bortree, director of the Page Center which is a research unit of Penn State’s College of Communications.
